We do not ask users to publish sensitive personal information. Tutors should never include private contact details, identity documents or information about children in public profile media.
Why we use information
- to create and administer student and tutor accounts;
- to verify, moderate and publish tutor profiles;
- to match enquiries, support booking and enable communication;
- to process payments, invoices, complaints and refunds;
- to meet tax, accounting and legal obligations;
- to prevent fraud, spam and misuse;
- to improve services and, where required, ask for consent for analytics or marketing.
Depending on the activity, processing is based on performance of a contract, steps requested before a contract, legal obligation, legitimate interest, or consent.
Public tutor profiles
A published tutor profile may be visible to website visitors and search engines. Public fields can include a tutor’s first name, photograph, introduction video, city, subjects, qualifications, experience, description, price, lesson formats, ratings and reviews. Private contact, payment and identity-verification data are not displayed publicly.
How long we keep data
Account and service information is retained while the account is active and afterwards only as long as needed for legal claims, security or statutory obligations. Accounting records are kept for the period required by Polish law. Unpublished media and unsuccessful verification material are removed or anonymised when no longer required.
Your rights
Subject to legal conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection. Consent can be withdrawn at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
Security and updates
Bright Minds applies access controls, encrypted transport, restricted storage permissions, moderation and operational safeguards. No internet system can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect their passwords and report suspicious activity promptly.
This policy may be updated when services or legal requirements change. The current effective date will always appear at the top of this page.
This is a practical platform policy prepared for the Bright Minds review site. Vendors, retention periods and the final payment model must be confirmed by a Polish privacy professional before public launch.
